Many children across Thailand are denied the opportunity to receive an education. Children become orphaned from reasons like drug addiction, drug trafficking, and AIDS, which is a growing problem. Economic poverty forces children into the workplace to support their families. Other children are being raised in areas of the country where there are no schools. Because of these reasons, SALT Ministries started a project called “Ban Dek Roong Aroon” (Dawn Children’s Home).

This project selects children who will live at the children’s home while
they attend an elementary or high school in Chaingmai. SALT Ministries pays
their tuition fees, books, food and provides their home. The children’s
guardians will help the children’s home by providing what they can like
rice, corns, fruits & vegetables.
